Herd of cows’ reflects an interest in what makes us “kiwis”. We think that the development of New Zealand’s isolated, migrant, multicultural society can be heard in its language.
Our cow snapshots some common “kiwi” colloquialisms for people to enjoy and reflect upon, maybe even brainstorm others they know.
Lianne Adams is a freelance artist, illustrator and graphic designer who works with a multiple discipline approach to create unique, bespoke pieces. Drawing from her background as an international artist she crafts a distinct graphic design style, melding together strands of computer-based design and traditional art, amplifying a personal touch within her works. She enjoys telling visual stories that make a lasting impression on the viewer. She has had a life time love affair with painting and exploring New Zealand which is evident in her work.

As descendants of Morrinsville pioneers (Forsythe 1908, Semmens 1913 to Tatuanui / Te Puninga and Dempster, McNaughton 1913-4 on Kereone Road) Terry, Karen, Catherine and Vivienne Semmens are proud to be associated with the ‘Herd of Cows’ street art project.
