The sponsor (Reid Family Trust) headed by Lyn Reid, and the Artist Alysha Johnson (Lyns Granddaughter) felt that the cow should reflect our artistic, creative and fun loving family. Each of the elements on Fa.moo.ly depict members of the family and their careers / interests or depict moments, places and events in our life that have significance to us all. The large clock signifies that you must cherish every moment of time with your family as you never know when they might not be around.

Artist
Hi! I’m Aly and an artist / graphic designer who lives right here in Morrinsville! I have loved painting and art from the moment I was born and always wanted a career in a creative industry. Along with my mum Jo, we own 4 small businesses including my graphic design and printing business Imagine If Creative Studios which shares a building with her Art/Craft + Interiors store - Imagine If. We also have a craft show we run and a craft supplies/manufacturing business. At night I love painting, drawing, creating art, crafts and much more! Being selected as an Artist to paint one of these beautiful cows was an amazing opportunity for me to create something unique for our little town which I love and I am proud to be a part of.

Fa.moo.ly was sponsored by the Reid Family Trust to represent all the members of the Reid and Johnson families as well as a tribute to the late Bob Reid, husband, father, poppy and father-in-law. Bob was a local farmer at Tatuanui for many years and his love for his cows and his family were so strong, that the family all felt this would be a fitting tribute for him. Fa.moo.ly was painted by Alysha Johnson (Bob's Granddaughter) but contributions from three generations of the families artistic talent was combined as she was assisted by many members of the Reid and Johnson families including hours of help from Helena Reid, Rick Johnson and Jo Johnson.
