Zena Elliott is a contemporary Artist, Researcher and Teacher who explores her Māori identity through contemporary mediums and contexts. Elliott’s current art practice incorporates her connection to Iwi, Hapu and Whanau inspired by traditional geometric patterning and popular cultural forms that represents her communities. Through Elliott’s art, she provokes discussion surrounding Indigenous culture and identity in contemporary urban environments.
